This issue marks a milestone for me, as it slowly sinks in that I have been publishing this quarterly magazine now for 5 years! In many ways it still feels as though I am just getting started, that I have so much more I want to do with tinyStudio, and I also look back with pride and gratitude on what we have achieved and the wonderful issues since 2018 that never grow old, that continue to be as inspirational, motivational, and creative as they were on publication. My thanks to all those who have contributed to tinyStudio over these years, I have loved creating this platform to share with you and sending these parts of ourselves out to our fiber community to share in as well. Kindness and generosity are paramount and constantly displayed by our wonderful tinyStudio contributors and sponsors.

In this issue we have a really awesome variety of inspirational fiber arts and the stories of the artists behind them. I especially love the work of Lindsay Hawes of Linden Acres, her work with books is particularly magical, and I love that each piece is inspired by the book itself and the story within it. I am looking forward to seeing more of the travel books especially. Lindsay is also our cover artist!

A very inspirational article by Elizabeth Ashdown has really got me thinking, what a wonderful artform Passamenterie is! The history behind this rare craft is fascinating, and Elizabeth is helping bring it back into the future with her work in maintaining knowledge and sharing the techniques. I hope this will inspire many to learn more about this beautiful craft.

For some super practical spin tech we have a great article from New Zealand’s Pat Old. If you have heard about spinning to the crimp in your fibre but had not yet explored the possibilities, this article is for you! Pat shows us the different yarns that are made when you consciously ensure you are spinning the same number of twists per inch as you have crimps per inch in the wool. The results are fascinating

Our Studio Tour in this issue is a magical peek into the Studio of Courtney of Finely Twined, what a gorgeous and welcoming space she has created!

And then we have the tools! We have a great review of the Majacraft Extra Fine Hand Cards by Debbie Held, my article on the origin story behind the development of the new Majacraft Luna, and for a real treat, do check out the stunning crochet hooks by Kelly Brooks, they are gorgeous!

There is so much more in this issue, I hope you will enjoy it! Here is a flipthrough of the digital version, available now for tinyStudio Digital Members (check your inbox), and to purchase in the tinyStudio shop!

Digital Members can now also make their discounted print purchase (from the members section of the website), and print issues will also be available for non-members to purchase from 10 September!
