Pocket Pouch Maker (No-Sew Pouch Bag Weaving Kit)
This is a Kit with a super little handmade loom which I have designed specifically to create woven pouch bags that require no sewing to finish them, they come off the loom as a complete pouch with a flap closure!
It comes to you in a handy case with all its accessories (the case itself may be different with each batch). Each Kit contains the following:
- Pocket Pouch Maker 100% bamboo loom base for weaving a no-sew pouch.
- Removable front peg bar
- Mini circle loom just for fun! Make woven circles to decorate your pouch, make badges or brooches, or buttons.
- Thread holders including one wrapped with enough warp thread for a couple of pouches.
- Scissors.
- 2 Weaving needles.
- 2 Warp sticks for raising the warp and tensioning.
- Instruction booklet.

My goal with this fun wee loom was to make a truly portable project kit, one you can pop into your ‘analogue bag’ when you’re heading out for a creative evening with friends – instead of pulling out your phone, pick up your Pocket Pouch Maker and weave! It is engrossing, meditative, slow art-making at its best and the creative possibilities are as big as your imagination! Before you know it, you will be sliding a completed pouch off your loom, add a fastener and you can use it straight away, no stitching or construction required.
This loom is great for beginner weavers, all you need to make a lovely pouch is a simple plain weave (under and over each warp thread alternating each row). It is also really fun for experienced weavers looking for a way to keep weaving even in the cafe! Experiment with tapestry-style weaving, or making your own designs using a range of traditional techniques such as Krokbragd, to make unique and enjoyable patterns.
The Case
This measures 14cm wide (5.5″) x 10cm (3.9″)x 4cm (1.6″) in height. It is a hard case with a zip, lightweight and just the right size to take on your adventures! Please note – the style of case will vary in colour and design between batches depending on what is available from my supplier.
The Loom
The lovely Pocket Pouch Maker ‘Pop Loom’ is made entirely of beautiful and sustainable bamboo, durable and a great weight in your hands. It measures 5cm x 9.5cm (2″ x 3.7″). You can use this loom to make no-sew pouches and also to make longer flat weavings as well.
The finished pouch size with top flap closed is 5.5cm x 7cm (2.17″ x 2.76″)
