As a firm believer that our fiber tools should be as fun and creative as the projects we work on with them, I have added this nifty dual Dragon shaped Niddy Noddy, named the ‘Wyrm Winder’ to my wee tool range for your yarn winding pleasure!
The niddy noddy is made of wood, which I cut on my laser to my original design. I then carefully sand each piece so it feels nice to hold with no sharp edges, then paint each one individually with quality acrylics. I finish it with a clear coat to protect the surface.
These two dragons slot easily together tail to tail, and help you wind a super handy skein measuring approximately 1 meter (3″ longer than a yard) depending of course on how tight you wind it! The handiest part is you can tuck the starting end of your yarn into the tail, or wrap it around the neck, and your dragon will hold it for you, so if you have to stop and put your niddy noddy down before you have finished winding, the end will stay secure.
It is super useful for sample skeins, on-the-go skeins while you’re out and about. Because it is so light and packs flat you can pop in your handbag or project bag to take on outings with your spinning. Match it up with a Plying Dragon for a fabulous set to ply first and then wind your skein! In fact if you purchase both a Plying Dragon and Dragon Niddy Noddy together I will make sure your colours match up to make a lovely set!

Specifications
The assembled Niddy Noddy has a nose to nose measurement of 30cm (11.8″) and wing to wing of 24cm ((9.45″). The wingspan is 17.5cm (6.9″). Unassembled, each dragon has a nose-tip to tail-tip measurement of 24cm (9.45″). The two dragons together weigh just 70grams (2.8oz)

These are unique tools and each one is different. There is a range of colours: blue, green, gold, red, purple, pink, and black, your Wyrm Winder will be a surprise colour and paint style from this range!
