The first issue of tinyStudio for 2026! This is a lovely issue to begin the year with: inspiration abounds with some wonderful articles covering themes of creativity, some exciting variations on beehive art yarn, innovations with circle weaving, and even some wild fibres to explore!
I really loved the article by Sheleigh Peers; her approach to tapestry weaving brings colour and form into the designs, and I find the small scale work particularly enticing and accessible.
Since we are in February, it is the perfect month for a love story. I think this is one of the most beautiful articles I have published in seven years of tinyStudio. We learn about Swedish yarn made by Knut and Caroline of HÖNER & EIR and the life they have built around it together. Everything about this article will inspire you.
If youre looking for a new project to work on yourself, you can also take inspiration from Vicki Robinson – always finding innovative ways to do things! In this issue Vicki has been experimenting with making hats, based on circle weaves. Not content with one way to use the loom, Vicki also expanded the weaving into a 3d shape just perfect for a bag! These projects are fantastic for using up stash yarns or any leftovers, and the results are awesome.

Art yarn innovation in this issue comes in the form of exciting beehives! Jessie Javete returns to tinyStudio with a collection of stunning beehive yarns and new ideas on how to use them – jewelry, decorations, and stitch markers! I am sure we will see many more gorgeous spun jewels from Jessie this year too.
